James Hanks
James has been involved in martial arts for the last 14 years of his life. Having achieved the rank of black belt in Shotokan karate, he began instructing kids classes in striking arts. The desire to become a more well rounded martial artist drove him to begin training Jiu Jitsu throughout Mississippi and eventually here in Memphis where he has now achieved the rank of brown belt. He has taken that love and skill of teaching and brought it to the Berserker family. James will always be one of the first to sign up for local seminars and logs many hours studying instructional videos to best guide our students to reach their potential. He is also no stranger to competition, having been a Siege Superfight Champion.
